Product Overview:
The total nitrogen in water mainly comes from the decomposition products of nitrogenous organic matter in domestic sewage by microorganisms, industrial water such as coking and ammonia synthesis, and farmland drainage. When the total nitrogen content in the water body is high, it is toxic to fish and harmful to human beings in different degrees. Determination of total nitrogen in water helps to evaluate the pollution and 'self-purification' status of the water body, so the total nitrogen is an important indicator to characterise water pollution. The analyser is capable of long-term unattended automatic continuous work according to the site settings, and is widely used in industrial pollution sources discharging wastewater, municipal sewage treatment plant wastewater, environmental quality surface water and other occasions. According to the complexity of the field test conditions, optional pre-treatment system to ensure that the test process is reliable, accurate test results, to fully meet the needs of different occasions.
Measurement method:
After mixing the water sample and masking agent, the total nitrogen in the form of free ammonia or ammonium ions in the alkaline environment and the presence of sensitizers reacts with the potassium persulfate chromogenic reagent to generate a chromogenic complex, and the analyser detects the change of this colour and converts this change into the total nitrogen value output. The amount of coloured complex generated corresponds to the amount of total nitrogen.
