Overview
TN800 Total nitrogen analyzer adopts the catalysis-digestion-sealed method to measure concentration of samples. Advanced solid-state cold light source, narrow-band technology and micro-computer dynamic processing data can directly display and print the concentration values of samples.

The analyzer equipped with Glos water quality intelligent detection program and guided detection mode, which reduces the learning cost and enables the user operates simple and effectively. The chromotropic acid method is approved by EPA from US and efficiency to analyze the concentration of total nitrogen.

Principle
Total nitrogen analyzer principle (Chromotropic acid method): An alkaline persulfate digestion converts all form of the mineral nitrogen to nitrate. Sodium metabisulfite is added after the digestion to eliminate halogen oxide interference. Nitrate then reacts with chromotropic acid under strongly acidic conditions to form a yellow complex. The yellow complex is used to determine the concentration of total nitrogen.
